JeebByte — Terms of Service

JB Points are not a currency and not a deposit. They are an in-app reward you earn by completing surveys and offers. You may spend them inside JeebByte, or — once they have settled and reached the minimum — ask us to send you their value as a cash payout. They cannot be transferred to another person, cannot be exchanged for cryptocurrency, and are not a bank balance: we are not a bank and hold no money on your behalf.

1. What JeebByte is

JeebByte is an educational Android app for learning Linux, the command line and ethical hacking through lessons and hands-on labs. It is operated by Mujeeb Ur Rehman, an independent developer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Using the course

The course does not require an account. Use it on as many of your own devices as you like.

3. What the labs are for

JeebByte teaches security concepts for defensive and educational purposes. The techniques it explains must only be used on systems you own or have written permission to test. Using anything you learn here against systems you do not have permission to touch is illegal in most countries, including the UAE, and is entirely your own responsibility. We provide the material for learning; we do not authorise or support unlawful use of it.

4. Earning JB Points

Earning is optional. To open a survey you must sign in with Google and be at least 18 years old, because our research partners require it.

Surveys are supplied by independent panels. Whether a survey is available to you, whether you qualify for it, and what it pays are decided by the panel, not by us. It is normal to be screened out of a survey partway through; that is the panel deciding you are not in the group they are studying, and it is not a fault in the app.

Points are credited after the panel confirms the completion to our server. If a panel later reverses a completion — which they may do for weeks or months afterwards, typically when they detect low-quality or duplicate answers — the corresponding points are removed from your balance, and your balance may go to zero as a result.

5. Spending JB Points

JB Points are spent inside JeebByte on in-app items and content. We may change the price of an item, add items, or retire them. We will not remove content you have already unlocked.

6. Cashing out

You may ask us to send the value of your JB Points to a JazzCash or EasyPaisa mobile wallet, or to a UAE bank account. Payouts are sent by hand by us; there is no automated transfer and no instant withdrawal. We aim to send within two working days of a request but do not guarantee it.

The waiting period. Points become available to cash out fourteen days after they are earned. This is not a delay for its own sake: our partners can reverse a completed survey or offer for weeks after crediting it, and once money has left through a mobile wallet it cannot be recovered. Until points have settled, the app shows them as not ready yet.

Minimum and fees. The minimum payout is 125 JB Points. We do not charge a fee and we absorb the transfer cost. The rate shown in the app is the rate we will send at, and it is the rate that applies to your request.

Your details are your responsibility. You must give us the correct wallet number or account number and the correct account holder name. A mobile wallet transfer to a wrong but valid number cannot be reversed by us or by the wallet provider, and we cannot refund it. The app asks you to confirm the destination before you submit for exactly this reason.

When we will refuse. We may refuse or cancel a payout where we believe the points were not earned honestly — for example multiple accounts, automated answers, VPN use to misrepresent your country, or a partner reversing the underlying reward. If we refuse a request, the points are returned to your balance. If we cancel it because the reward itself was reversed, they are not.

Cashing out is a service we provide, not a right you accrue. If we stop offering payouts we will say so in the app, and JB Points will remain spendable inside JeebByte.

7. Fair use

You may hold one earning account. The following will result in your earning being suspended and any unspent points removed:

These rules exist because our partners pay for honest research data and reverse payments when they do not get it. We enforce them on the server, and a device is limited in how many earning accounts it may hold.

8. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 7. If you believe we got it wrong, write to jeebbyte@gmail.com and we will look at it again. You may close your own account at any time; see the deletion page. Unspent points are forfeited when an account closes, for any reason.

9. Availability

We do our best to keep the app and the earning features working, but we do not promise that surveys will always be available to you. Survey supply varies by country, and there may be days with nothing on offer.

10. Liability

JeebByte is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of JB Points. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects earning or spending, we will say so in the app. Continuing to use JeebByte after a change means you accept it.
