Delete your JeebByte account and data

From inside the app

Open JeebByte and go to Settings.
Choose Delete account.
Confirm. The account and its balance are removed straight away.

By email

Write to jeebbyte@gmail.com from the Google address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. Sending it from that address is how we confirm the request is really yours. We complete deletions within 30 days and reply when it is done.

Deleting forfeits any unspent JB Points. They cannot be restored afterwards, so spend anything you want to keep before you delete.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign-in.
Your JB Points balance and your full earning ledger.
The salted hash of your device id that we hold for fraud prevention.

What we keep, and why

We keep our partners' transaction ids, with your account id removed, for accounting and fraud reconciliation. Survey panels can reverse a payment months after making it, and we need to be able to match that reversal to a transaction. These records cannot be linked back to you.

Your course progress

Lessons, XP, streak, notes and settings are stored on your phone and never sent to us. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling JeebByte removes them.

Survey panels

Panels you answered surveys for hold their own records under their own privacy policies. To have those deleted, contact the panel directly — CPX Research, TheoremReach or BitLabs. We can tell you which id we passed them if you ask.
